I wrote The World after a few month long situationship

He told me on the second date that he wasn't looking for anything serious

But I kept dating him anyway in hopes to change his mind

We got along instantly

He even took me to "his favorite place in the world"

I wrote 5 songs about him

Looking back I know we both made mistakes

I definitely shouldn't have stayed around him after that second date

But at the same time he continuously treated me like we were more

And he knew how I felt too

So he also could've left at any time

I ended up lashing out which wasn't okay of me

This song represents the aftermath

I had a habit of shifting blame to one or the other

But relationships

Official or not

Consist of two people

In the end

I'm glad to have learned what I know now
