The Tower

I wrote The Tower during my unsuccessful songwriting challenge

Of one song a day for the month of April

(I did 10)

I tried to base all of them off of different tarot cards

For The Tower I wanted it to have a hopeful tone

The Tower as a tarot card is infamous for being The Bad Card

When you think of a scary card

A lot of people will name The Tower

But it's not as bad as people think

The idea is that everything you've built

aka the tower

is doomed to collapse

What people forget it that there's a reason why it needed to collapse

Maybe there was a faulty foundation

And having it break down gives you a chance to rebuild

The card after The Tower is The Star

Which means hope

There IS hope

You just need to rip the bandaid off
